Climate change mitigation in practice: Sustainability reporting for Solvang ASA

Neetly has written and produced the ESG report for Norwegian petchem tanker Solvang ASA, which shows remarkable technological progress in the field of emission cuts and energy effiency improvement. The company is a long-term client of Neetly, who documents environmental regulation compliance, delivers website design and content, as well as technically managing Solvang’s intranet and website facilities.

Since the EU Commission in 2025 backtracked on requirements for environmental, social and governance indicators in annual statements from European businesses, many Norwegian companies have shelved their plans for sustainability reporting. Solvang, on the other hand, has kept up environmental efforts along with extensive reporting. Solvang actively promotes its strategic views through elected positions at IMO (UN International Maritime Organization) and leading maritime research institutions – promoting their bid to curb GHG emissions from global deep sea shipping: The onboard carbon capture technology, which Solvang has demonstrated since January 2025 on board ethylene tanker Clipper Eris.
